Eagles place LB Gaither on IR

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Eagles placed linebacker Omar Gaither on injured reserve Wednesday and signed running back P.J. Hill from the New Orleans Saints' practice squad.

Gaither suffered a Lisfranc sprain in his foot in the team's 13-9 loss to Oakland two weeks ago and will miss the rest of the regular season. The fourth-year player recorded 30 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in five games this season.

Hill was an undrafted free agent this season out of Wisconsin. He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
