Eagles RB Westbrook held out of practice

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook was held out of practice Wednesday after suffering a concussion during Monday's win over the Redskins.
It is currently unknown whether Westbrook will play in Sunday's matchup with the Giants.
"I know Brian's going to want to play," Eagles head coach Andy Reid said. "But unless Brian's tests come back to where they're in a position where he can play, then we won't do that. He is making progress. It's a matter of time. We'll just see how he does this week. We'll see what the tests show."
Westbrook is currently going through the standard impact tests for a player with a concussion. Once he passes those tests, he will be able to start exercising. From there, he will be cleared to practice and return to the lineup.
"We're not going to let him progress to the next level until (his headache) goes away," said head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder. "He's not fighting me right now to play. When Brian Westbrook is ready to play again, we'll have him out there."
Also missing practice Wednesday were defensive end Darren Howard (ankle, calf), wide receiver DeSean Jackson (foot) and safety Victor "Macho" Harris (ankle).
Including his 13 yards rushing Monday, Brian Westbrook has 197 yards on the ground this season. He has already missed a game this season due to an ankle sprain he suffered in a Week 2 loss against the Saints.
