The 2012 NHL Draft kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on Friday night in Pittsburgh.

The NHL offseason officially kicks off Friday and Saturday in Pittsburgh as the Penguins host the 2012 NHL Draft at CONSOL Energy Center. The first round will be held Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m. ET and it's expected to be a night full of excitement. Trades could be plentiful and rumors have already taken over.

You can watch the first round on NBC Sports Network in the United States. At 9 p.m., coverage will switch over to CNBC and NHL Network as NBCSN switches to Olympic trial coverage. In Canada, the first round will be broadcast by TSN and simulcast on the web at TSN.ca.

The second day of the draft will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday and it will feature 180 picks in Rounds 2 through 7. NHL Network will have coverage in both the United States and Canada.

SBNation.com will also feature live coverage of both days of the event. Stick with our 2012 NHL Draft hub and our network of team blogs for wall-to-wall coverage.
