Wild Sign Jose Theodore To One-Year Deal
No worries, guys. Carol can sleep well tonight.
Jose Theodore, the NHL goalie who believe it or not has more than one obsessive fan Web site, is no longer just a "former Capitals goaltender." The Masterton Trophy winner signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Minnesota Wild today, ending what was certainly a long, frustrating summer for him.
The Wild needed a backup goaltender after Josh Harding went down with torn ligaments in his knee last week. It's expected that Harding will miss the entire season.
At Hockey Wilderness, our Wild blog, they're a little confused. With all the young goalies the Wild have in the system, why would they sign somebody from the outside? Nathan Eide explains.
