The Columbus Blue Jackets unveiled a new third jersey last week, and with it, a new mascot named Boomer made his debut. Boomer's described by the team as "a kid-friendly, cushy cannon character with a friendly face and fluffy moustache reminiscent of a Civil War-era general."
I don't even have to make the joke, but um, for a team that has the derisive nickname "BJs," WHY DID YOU THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!
