Earlier this season, Alexander Ovechkin struck twice in 12 seconds and Gerbe's pair amazingly occurred in under half the extent of time. One second short of tying the NHL record for quickest consecutive goals, the 23-year-old entered his name into Sabres history by breaking the previous club mark. It's a shame it had to come in a losing cause.
