The Nashville Predators head to Edmonton to take on the Oilers on Monday Night. The Preds hope to start the season with a 3-0 road record.
The Nashville Predators might actually be looking forward to hitting the road. After starting the 2-0 season at Columbus and St. Louis, the Preds proceeded to drop two straight at home, losing 5-2 to the Phoenix Coyotes and 3-2 in a shootout with the New Jersey Devils. They will head to Edmonton as favorites, against an Edmonton Oilers club that has finished at the bottom league for two consecutive seasons.
Of course, this may not be the same-old Oilers. Specifically a top-line of filled with young talent has helped spark some optimism around the club. Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, all in their first or second year in the NHL, have combined for 10 points through the team's first three games.
Game Date/Time: Monday, October 17, 9:30 P.M. ET
Venue: Rexall Place, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
TV: RSN West (Oilers Local - Edmonton)
Odds: Predators -115 to win, Oilers +115 to win, Predators favored by 1 1/2 goals.
