The Colorado Avalanched and Toronto Maple Leafs are both off to blazing starts. The Avalanche (4-1-0) are actually off to their best start since 2000-01 and have a chance to go undefeated on this five-game road trip.
The Maple Leafs are off to an equally torrid start (3-0-0) and are playing their fourth straight game at home. They are scoring a rather remarkable 3.67 goals per game with Phil Kessel already bagging five goals and dishing out three assists in just three games.
The Avs are looking absolutely deadly on the power play, having scored six of their 15 goals on the man advantage. David Jones leads the team with three goals.
