Bruins open four-game homestand against Hurricanes still looking to find their Stanley Cup form.
It's obviously still quite early, but the Boston Bruins have not exactly gotten off to the start you'd expect from the defending Stanley Cup champions. The Bruins are off to a 2-3-0 start to the 2011-12 campaign.
If there was a good time to get it going in another direction, this is probably it. The Bruins host the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday in the first of a four-game homestand looking to avenge a 3-2 loss last week. It was Carolina's first win of the season, and they have now won two straight
The Bruins offense has been particularly slow, as they've scored just nine goals in five games. Brad Marchand leads the team with just two goals.
The Canes have gotten off to a rough start defensively, allowing 3.6 goals per game. Both Brian Boucher and Cam Ward each of goals against average's of more than 3.25.
Game Date/Time: Tuesday, October 18, 7:00 P.M. ET
Venue: TD Garden, Boston
TV: FSN (Hurricanes local - Carolina), NESN (Bruins local - Boston)
Odds: Hurricanes +145 to win, Bruins -140 to win.
