Tomas Vokoun leads the Capitals against the Panthers, his former team, with a chance to keep his current team undefeated.
The Washington Capitals (4-0-0) have a chance to get off to the best start in franchise history with a win on Tuesday against the Florida Panthers. The man who will be between the pipes? Longtime Panthers goalie Tomas Vokoun.
Vokoun has been solid, if somewhat unspectacular, in his first three starts but has come out victorious in all of them. He is currently posting a 2.57 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.
He will likely opposed by Jose Theodore, who took over his spot with the Panthers and has them off to a strong start as well. Theodore is 3-1 with a 2.47 GAA and a .920 save percentage.
Brian Campbell has provided the Panthers a big boost from the blue line, registering seven assists in four games this season.
Game Date/Time: Tuesday, October 18, 7:00 P.M. ET
Venue: Verizon Center, Washington DC
TV: FSN Florida (Panthers local), CSN DC (Capitals local)
Odds: Panthers +195 to win; Capitals -175 to win.
