Ryan Kesler will make his season debut for a Vancouver Canucks team that was already scoring at a pretty good clip. Kesler is coming off a season in which he scored 41 goals, adding to a Canucks attack that was scoring 2.8 goals per game without him.
Kesler and the Canucks will face a New York Rangers team that has gotten off to a pretty horrible start. The Rangers are currently 0-1-2 and are scoring just 1.67 goals per game.
The Canucks have struggled a bit on the defensive side, as Roberto Luongo has allowed at least three goals in each of his three appearances. He is stopping just .871 percent of shots.
