Coming off a 9-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Philadelphia Flyers could be getting some even better news for Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning: Chris Pronger could suit up for the first time since Oct. 24. The big defenseman has missed the past six games with an eye injury that will force him to wear a visor for the first time since junior hockey, but he was at least able to travel with the team to Florida. The Flyers went 3-3-0 without Pronger, and struggled a bit on the defensive end.
There's a good chance the Flyers will need Pronger as they face a Lightning team that is playing as well as they have all year. They are looking for their third straight win and have won 6 of 8 while scoring 26 goals in the process. They are led by a balanced attack that features four different players with at least four goals and six different players with at least five assists. Marc-Andre Bergeron leads the way with 15 points (2 goals, 13 assists).
