Milan Lucic Suspended One Game For Hit On Zac Rinaldo

Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic will be suspended one game for his illegal check on Zac Rinaldo during Saturday's win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Lucic will sit out Monday's game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic has been suspended one game for his hit on Zac Rinaldo in the second period of Saturday's 6-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Rinaldo was trying to clear a puck from his own end of the ice when Lucic checked him from behind. Lucic was assigned a 5-minute major at the time for checking from behind as well as a game misconduct.

Luckily Rinaldo was not injured on the play. As you can see from the video above, he was in fine enough form to get in a tussle with Bruins' forward Nathan Horton following the hit. Lucic, meanwhile, will be forced to sit out Monday's game against the Montreal Canadiens. He is eligible for return Friday against the Florida Panthers.
