Jim Rutherford just traded Tomas Kaberle to the Montreal Canadiens for Jaroslav Spacek. In making that trade, he's admitting that signing Kaberle to a three-year, $12.75 million contract this past summer was a mistake.
In saying that signing Kaberle to that contract was a mistake, Rutherford is really just trolling Canadiens general manager Pierre Gauthier, the man taking that contract off his hands for him.
"I should have known better."
You probably should've known better too, Pierre.
