GOALIE FIGHT! Brent Johnson Drops Rick DiPietro With One Punch (VIDEO)

It's not every night that you get to see a goalie fight, so even though this Wednesday evening edition between Brent Johnson and Rick DiPietro was not really much of a fight, we'll take it anyway.

There are already a lot of jokes made at DiPietro's expense and there's no doubt that this will add to them quite a bit. One punched, man? Rough break. Even MSG play-by-play man Howie Rose got in on the fun, saying that "Hopefully he didn't re-injure any part of his body in the altercation." Oh, Howie.

In all seriousness, though, Johnson's one punch did seem to daze DiPietro a bit, and as Chris Botta points out, he's had a history with concussions. Let's hope nothing happened there.

Meanwhile, if you're Brent Johnson, how good is your night tonight? A shutout (although not technically because he didn't finish the game) and a one-punch take down? He was named the first star of the game and he received a rousing ovation from the CONSOL Energy Center crowd. Of course he did.
