The Sad Side Of The NHL Trade Deadline: Paul Bissonnette Loses His Best Buddies

We like to get caught up in the excitement of the NHL trade deadline. Who's going where? What's my team getting? We're going to win the Stanley Cup now! We're often guilty, however, of completely forgetting the other side of the day.

The human side.

These are people, after all, uprooting their lives to go play elsewhere. You might not feel too bad for them because, hey, they're rich and they play hockey for a living. But hockey players are people too.

Paul Bissonnette of the Phoenix Coyotes is one of those people, and on this deadline day, he's lost his two best friends as Scottie Upshall and Sami Lepisto were traded from the 'Yotes to the Columbus Blue Jackets today.

Biznasty is heartbroken, as now, he has nobody to party with.

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaack. Officially no single guys besides me on the coyotes. @samilepisto to columbus. And my boy @ScottieUpshall2. #FML

Taken last night on the plane. Ill miss you savages. Best of luck @samilepisto and @ScottieUpshall http://yfrog.com/h3rmjijj

Me and @ScottieUpshall last night watching arcade fire in concert. #Memories #Bromance http://yfrog.com/h2ymxujj
