Steve Tambellini and the Edmonton Oilers were part of the tiny splash at this year's NHL trade deadline, as they traded Dustin Penner to the Los Angeles Kings for two draft picks and AHL defenseman Colten Teubert.↵
As the only live, breathing human being coming back the Oilers way in the deal, much of the media attention in town was focused on Teubert, who has a whole bunch of upside as an NHL defenseman. He was the 13th overall pick in the 2008 draft, a year that featured such defensemen as Tyler Myers, Drew Doughty,Zach Bogosian and Luke Schenn.
He's had a rough go of things lately with the AHL's Manchester Monarchs, though, to the point where he's been a healthy scratch. When asked by a writer from the Edmonton Sun about those struggles, Tambellini didn't have a clue.↵
Who said he's struggling?↵
