NCAA Hockey Tournament 2011 Bracket: 16 Teams Begin Road To Frozen Four, College Hockey Glory

The 2011 NCAA hockey tournament bracket is out. Grabbing No. 1 seeds are Miami (Ohio), Yale, North Dakota and defending national champs Boston College. The road to the Frozen Four begins Friday.

NCAA Hockey Tournament 2011 Bracket: 16 Teams Begin Road To Frozen Four, College Hockey Glory

So it's not quite as big as the 68-team Division 1 NCAA basketball tournament, but March Madness extends to the hockey rink as well. On Sunday morning, the NCAA announced their 16-team bracket for the 2011 NCAA hockey tournament. Here's a look at this year's bracket.

EAST REGION -- Bridgeport, Conn. 

No. 1 Yale Bulldogs vs. No. 4 Air Force Falcons (Friday, 6:30 p.m., ESPNU)
No. 2 Union Dutchmen vs. No. 3 Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs (Friday, 3 p.m., ESPNU)

MIDWEST REGION -- Green Bay, Wis.

No. 1 North Dakota Fighting Sioux vs. No. 4 RPI Engineers (Saturday, 1:30 p.m., ESPN3.com)
No. 2 Denver Pioneers vs. No. 3 Western Michigan Broncos (Saturday, 5 p.m., ESPN3.com)

WEST REGION -- St. Louis, Mo.

No. 1 Boston College Eagles vs. No. 4 Colorado College Tigers (Friday, 9 p.m., ESPNU)
