Max Pacioretty Injury: Conscious After Chara's Hit In Bruins Vs. Canadiens

Stay connected with SB Nation

According to reports from NESN and the Canadiens themselves, Max Pacioretty is conscious and moving all of his limbs as he left the arena and he was taken to the nearest hospital for evaluation. Pacioretty was unconscious instantly after the hit from Chara and was down on the ice for a good ten to fifteen minutes before he was stretchered off the ice.

The Montreal Canadiens medical staff is one of the better staffs in the National Hockey League and they were quick to Pacioretty after the hit. They also had Pacioretty stabilized quickly and on the stretcher in a relatively short period of time.

As soon as we have more on Pacioretty's status and the extent of the injury that he suffered, we will continue to update this stream. In the meantime, please visit our Montreal Canadiens site, Habs Eyes On The Prize for more coverage of this situation.
