Dustin Brown broke the tie on the powerplay seven minutes later. Alec Martinex had the lone assist on the Brown goal.

Dustin Penner leads all players in the game with four shots on goal and has a total of six attempted shots, which is tied with Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom.
Jonathan Quick stopped all ten shots in the second period and now has 20 saves on 21 shots while Detroit's Jimmy Howard has fifteen saves on seventeen shots through two periods.
