The Washington Capitals are hosting their first preseason game of the season just down the road in Baltimore, MD with the First Baltimore Hockey Classic. Those are cracks in the ice, and according to Steven Whyno from the Washington Times, those cracks can be seen from the pressbox. According the Capitals, those cracks are under the surface of the ice and shouldn't affect the game play nor the safety of the players.
