Read More: Mike Rupp (LW - NYR), New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers
Mike Rupp has two goals in the 2012 NHL Winter Classic. Not only does he have two goals, but they're the difference in the hockey game, as his New York Rangers lead 3-2. Rupp put the first two on the board for New York, who fell down 2-0 on goals from Brayden Schenn and Claude Giroux.
Rupp's first goal cut the lead in half, and just 2:41 into the third period, Rupp's second goal tied the score.
The tie lasted less than three minutes, and somehow, the Flyers defense forgot about Brad Richards. The Rangers top forward snuck in behind the defense and buried a Sergei Bobrovsky rebound in the back of the net to take the lead.
