Ever since Canadian businessman Tom Gaglardi finalized his purchase of the Dallas Stars back in January, he's quickly made it know that he's the exact opposite of previous owner Tom Hicks. A passionate hockey fan who has made it known he wants to win and that he "makes money elsewhere", Gaglardi has certainly ingratiated himself in the hearts of Stars fans everywhere.
Turns out there's yet another side to Gaglardi: the NHL franchise owner who enjoys a little stick time with his general manager and star forward. Gaglardi let's anyone who will listen he's still an avid league player and he showed his limited skill set this past week, jumping on the ice with Joe Nieuwendyk, Jamie Benn and Stars coach Glen Gulutzan.
Video after the jump.
The best part of this whole thing is the fact that Gulutzan and Nieuwendyk are decked out in full gear while Gaglardi is wearing the coach's jump suit. He participates in some passing and shooting drills, showing that he's much more than just a businessman with a checkbook -- he's an avid hockey fan who knows the sport well.
Too bad he didn't feel well enough to throw on the goalie pads and give Jamie Benn a real target to shoot at.
