Torpedo Nizhny faces HC Yugra in the Kontinental Hockey League's (KHL) only game on Friday.

Torpedo is currently in seventh place in KHL's Western Conference at 6-3-3. The team is tied with Severstal and Slovan with 22 points, but it is one point away from Lev and CSKA squads in fifth and sixth place, respectively. One of the higher-scoring teams in the KHL, Torpedo has 43 goals scored through 13 games, but it has given up 38 goals to opponents.

Meanwhile, Yugra finds itself in 11th place in the East. It has 14 points in the rankings and holds a 4-8-2 record. Yugra is 0-2 in shootout games this season. Giving up 50 goals to opponents this year, Yugra has allowed the second-most goals in the KHL this season.

Neither Torpedo nor Yugra have an NHL player on a roster.

Saturday will be a busier day with more NHL players in action, as the KHL has 10 games on the schedule.
