The NHLPA will have 18 player on hand for Thursday's negotiations, which are expected to include a counter-proposal to the owners' latest offer.
The NHLPA will respond to the owners' latest proposal when the two sides meet on Thursday at the NHLPA's offices in downtown Toronto, and 18 NHL players will be in attendance, according to an announcement from the NHLPA.
NHLPA staff and players reviewed the proposal internally and are expected to make a counter-proposal as negotiations continue with the hope of reaching an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement.

The leagues latest offer includes a salary cap between $59.9 million and $43.9 million. Several other details about the NHL's latest collective bargaining proposal were leaked by TSN insiders Darren Dreger and Bob McKenzie on Tuesday night, and despite the sweetened deal, NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr has said that he believes that the NHL's newest offer is still asking for too much.
