Alex Ovechkin and Ilya Kovalchuk will have five of their games for Russian clubs streamed on ESPN3 during the NHL lockout, as the network has reached an agreement with the Russian KHL.

NHL fans unable to watch their team during the lockout might at least be able to catch a few of their team's players in action, as the Kontinental Hockey League will have several of its games featuring Alex Ovechkin and Ilya Kovalchuk available for streaming live on ESPN3.

The KHL, which is based for the most part in Russia, but also features teams in six other European countries, will have five games shown on ESPN3 in the first 10 days of October, starting Wednesday. It's unclear whether the streaming network will make further arrangements with the league to broadcast more games should the lockout cancel more of the NHL season.

Here is the list of KHL matchups that will be available:

Dynamo Moscow vs Ak Bars on Oct. 3;
Lev vs SKA on Oct. 6;
Slovan vs Dynamo Moscow on Oct. 7;
CSKA vs SKA on Oct. 8;
Lev vs Dynamo Moscow on Oct. 9.

Each game features either Dynamo Moscow, for whom Ovechkin plays, or SKA St. Petersburg, the club with Kovalchuk. The Oct. 8 matchup between SKA and CSKA Moscow will pit Kovalchuk against Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk. All players are expected to return to their regular NHL team once the lockout ends.
