Yannick Weber and Logan Couture are on the first-place team in the Swiss National League A, Geneva-Servette.
Yannick Weber and Logan Couture have made their team the frontrunner in the Swiss National League A, as their Geneva-Servette squad is eight points ahead of their closest competition through only ten games thus far.
Montreal's Weber joined the squad after the team had already played three games, with San Jose's Couture coming along two games later. Since then, they've only lost one game, a 5-1 loss to a Bern team featuring John Tavares and Mark Streit of the New York Islanders. Geneva is well ahead of the competition, with 26 points on eight wins, an overtime win, and a loss. The closest competition for Geneva is the ZSC Lions, a club based in Zurich which is one of the few in the league not to have picked up any locked out players.
Streit and Tavares' Bern team is in eighth. Patrice Bergeron's HC Lugano team is in fifth, Brooks Laich is on a sixth-place Kloten Flyers team, and Tyler Seguin is on the seventh-place EHC Biel.
