2012 College hockey schedule: No. 1 Boston College off, but plenty of action on Saturday

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

Saturday will be a busy day in men's hockey as eight of the top 10 teams will be on the ice.

The No. 1 Boston College Eagles are off this Saturday night, but college hockey still features a ton of exciting games.

After their victory over No. 7 Notre Dame on Friday, the Eagles (as well as the Irish) won't be playing on Saturday, but every other team in the USCHO.com Top 10 is in action. While no two top 10 teams face off against each other, many of the college hockey powers are on the road, which should make for some tough tests. Among the teams making road trips on Saturday are second-ranked Minnesota, who take on Alaska-Anchorange. No. 3 Denver is also on the road, visiting Minnesota State, while back east, No. 4 Cornell visits Quinnipiac.

Other top teams in action on Saturday include No. 5 Miami (Ohio) hosting Northern Michigan and No. 6 North Dakota traveling to face St. Cloud State. No. 8 Union will battle Dartmouth on the road, while No. 9 New Hampshire hosts Vermont. Rounding out the top 10, tenth-ranked Western Michigan heads to Ohio to take on Bowling Green.

Saturday's complete schedule can be found at USCHO.com.
