With the odds of an imminent resolution to the NHL lockout looking bleaker with each passing second, hockey fans might want to tune into the AHL on Friday.
Hockey fans thirsty for some action will be treated to a hefty serving of the AHL Friday with 14 games on tap for the evening.
One of the more notable matchups is between the Abbotsford Heat (9-1) and the Rochester Americans (8-4). The Heat have a Western Conference-best 21 points this season, but the Americans have been averaging 4.1 goals per game in their last nine. So if you like your hockey with as little defense as possible, that could be the game for you.
