Stephen Weiss' record-breaking day was made even better when he scored two goals en route to a 4-2 Panthers victory over the Canadiens.

On Sunday, Florida Panthers forward Stephen Weiss played in his 614th career game with the team that drafted him fourth overall in 2001. Yet, the most important number for Weiss and the Panthers was two.

Weiss' two goals led Florida's comeback in a 4-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

Weiss scored twice, including the game winner in the second period, as the Panthers took advantage of four unanswered goals to win their second straight after four consecutive losses. it was also the second game in as many nights that the the Panthers overcame a 2-0 deficit to win.

The first of Weiss' two goals was his first in 12 games, while the second one saw him poke in a rebound for his third multi-goal game of the season and first since Dec. 5. Weiss has been and will continue to be an integral part of the Panthers' success. With the possibility of their first playoff berth since 2000 in sight, they will need him even more.
