John Scott
The New York Rangers have sent a fifth-round draft pick to the Chicago Blackhawks for John Scott.
The New York Rangers apparently felt like they were in need of another defenseman for depth, as well as an enforcer. They've added the massive John Scott, sending a fifth-round draft pick to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for his services. Blueshirt Banter notes that he can also play along the front line, that he is very large and that he is good at punching people in the face.
Scott can also play up on the wing, just as Stu Bickel has done the last couple of games.
John Scott comes in at 6'8" in height, and packs quite the punch for a heavyweight. It is still unknown what the Rangers are going to do with him as of yet. We shall find out shortly.
Scott has just one point, but 48 penalty minutes in his 29 games played during this season. A team with Bickel, Mike Rupp and Brandon Prust probably didn't need another enforcer, but hey, he's won all four of his fights this season!
