NCAA Hockey Bracket 2012, Boston College Vs. Minnesota-Duluth: Eagles Headed To Frozen Four

Stay connected with SB Nation

Boston College's hockey team hadn't lost in its last 16 outings heading into their game against Minnesota-Duluth. The team added one to the winning streak on Sunday night, too, and they'll now enter the Frozen Four on a 17-game winning streak.

The Eagles posted a shutout over the defending champions in Worcester, Mass., as goalie Parker Milner stopped all 33 shots he faced in the victory to help advance Boston College to the Frozen Four. Milner's job won't get any easier next time out, though, as Boston College will face the Minnesota Golden Gophers in hopes of advancing to the championship game of the 2012 NCAA hockey tournament.

The game was scoreless following the first period, but Boston College led 2-0 heading into the third behind goals from Pat Mullane and Bill Arnold. Patrick Wey and Gaudreau stuck the daggers in UM-D with a pair of goals in the third period.
