You knew this was coming, and you knew it wouldn't take long. After Shea Weber got off with a $2,500 fine for slamming Henrick Zetterberg's head into the turnbuckle ... errr, the glass. Weber was sent to the box for the incident, which, while somewhat serious -- the potential for a head injury is no joke -- became a widespread Internet joke and hilarious GIF. It was a moment of frustration that was beyond ridiculous, and there was going to be retaliation.
So what happened next? Just about a minute and a half into Friday night's game, Todd Bertuzzi came calling. And, I guess, on principle the message was sent, but Weber was more than up for the challenge. Weber landed a few shots and it was all broken up before you knew it.
The Red Wings were pleased with the effort, or the thought behind it, and showed that appreciation by tapping their sticks on the boards. Pretty normal, until you set it on a loop.
