Because it was already nuts by itself, why not push Saturday night's brawl between the St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks to levels even more ridiculous? To recap: all hell broke lose in the waning moments of the game as tensions boiled over. There was a scrum in one corner and a full-on tackle at center ice. Punches were thrown, players took hard shots and it's pretty likely this will keep on occurring throughout the series.
But there's still a way to make the brawl even more appealing. All it takes is the theme from Mortal Kombat.
And really, it just fits so well, especially when synced up properly. There will probably be some finger wagging from the NHL, and perhaps further punishment along with warnings to mind their manners, but does it look like anything was actually settled in that fight?
Because if it wasn't, look for someone to send a message early in Game 3.
