All things considered, it seemed pretty odd that the Penguins-Flyers series had been so tame thus far. Sure, there were a few dust-ups and some big hits, but it was nothing like what we saw on Saturday, when brawls were the name of the day. The Pens and Flyers really don't like each other, so one would expect everything to come to a boil sooner rather than later.
And on Sunday, it finally happened. After the Flyers went up 3-1, thanks to a 5-on-3, followed quickly by another goal, the two sides got down to business. There was pushing and shoving, a period of somewhat calm emotions, and then punches. Plenty of punches.
Here we have Sidney Crosby calling Claude Giroux a pussy, which was pretty awesome. The two were involved in one of the skirmishes.
And Kris Letang also shushed the crowd, which I'm sure will go over well.
Going to take a wild guess and say this won't be the last dust-up we see. As for the action itself, it's 4-2 Philly as of this writing. This score update will be outdated in 30 seconds.
