Tim Thomas will never shake this not-going-to-the-White-House thing. He may be a Free Citizen with the freedom to choose whether or not he talks about his controversial snub of President Barack Obama, but lack of Congressional representation aside, the people of Washington, D.C. are Free People as well.
They have used their freedom to remind Thomas of his controversial political stance. Oh, did they remind him.

The signs were the idea of several prominent Caps blogs, namely Russian Machine Never Breaks, Brooks Laich Year and Sick Unbelievable. Fans printed out tons of Obama faces and either held them up to their faces or simply taped them to the glass during warmups, as you can see above or in this Flickr album put together by our friends at Yahoo!'s Puck Daddy. The Washington Times has quotes from those involved in setting this all up, too.
