VIDEO: Joel Quenneville Not Happy With Raffi Torres, NHL Officials

I usually just feel bad for everybody involved in those in-game coach interviews on the bench. The coach doesn't want to talk to you in the middle of the game, and the interviewer doesn't want to feign being interesting while he or she knows they're being obnoxious by sticking that mic in the guy's face.

But on occasion, the raw in-game emotion can be enlightening. You know, like when Joel Quenneville calls out the officials for failing to catch a brutal, illegal hit from Raffi Torres on Marian Hossa.

Brutal hit. I saw the whole play. 100 miles an hour, no puck, hit the head. I can't believe four guys missed it. Makes me sick.

Us too, Joel. Us too.

Quenneville was a little more subdued after the game, but he still made some comments that'll likely get him fined. Coaches have been warned not to speak out against the officiating in these playoffs, and well, coupled with his comments on the NBC broadcast, it's likely that saying "The refereeing tonight was a disgrace" is frowned upon.
