The St. Louis Blues are on the verge of returning to the second round of the NHL Playoffs for the first time in a decade.
The St. Louis Blues haven't won an NHL Playoffs series since the 2001-2002 season. They can take a huge step toward accomplishing that feat on Thursday night when they meet the San Jose Sharks in Game 4 of their Western Conference Quarterfinals series.
The Blues will be on the road in San Jose for the game, but that didn't seem to matter so much in Game 3: the Blues built a 4-1 lead early in the third period, then held off the hard-charging Sharks for a 4-3 victory. If Patrik Berglund (three goals in the series) and Andy McDonald (two goals, four assists) can stay hot, the Blues might just get back to the second round for the first time in a decade.
