With teams dropping like flies from the first round of the NHL Playoffs, only two games will be played on Monday after a long week that regularly featured four games on the same day. Monday's games are a pair of Game 6 clashes, with the favored team in the series trying to fight off elimination in both games.
The Chicago Blackhawks and Phoenix Coyotes have gone to overtime in all of their five games so far, with Chicago winning the most recent one in Arizona. They need another win at the United Center on Monday to force a Game 7. Out East, the No. 1 seeded New York Rangers are facing elimination after a stunning loss to the Ottawa Senators at Madison Square Garden in Game 5, in which Henrik Lundqvist was out-dueled by Craig Anderson, who was perfect on the night. They'll get Carl Hagelin back from suspension, which should be a serious boost.
