The Florida Panthers are on the verge of their first NHL Stanley Cup playoffs series victory since 1996.

The Florida Panthers are on the verge of their first NHL Stanley Cup playoffs series victory since 1996. All the Panthers have to do is eliminate the New Jersey Devils on the road in Tuesday night's Game 6.

Jose Theodore came up with a huge shutout for the Panthers in their 3-0 win on Saturday in Game 5, and Florida has already had success in the Garden State in this series, recovering from a 3-0 hole for a 4-3 win in Game 3.

But the Devils have been dominant in their two wins, grabbing Game 1 with a 3-2 victory in Sunrise in which they never trailed and shutting out Florida 4-0 in Game 4. Where this series goes next is really anyone's guess.
