The Rangers will have to win a second-consecutive game tonight against Ottawa to avoid being the second No. 1 seed to fall in the first round.
A Rangers win on the brink of elimination in Game 6 ensured that the Stanley Cup Playoffs would return to Madison Square Garden. But the Rangers have to do it again in a winner-take-all Game 7 tonight to avoid being the second No. 1 team to fall in the first round despite winning their conference.
