There are racists everywhere. Some of them live in Boston and cheer for the Bruins. We understand this, and none of us think any less of the organization because several -- or many -- of their fans are racists.
But they reminded us they're good folks anyway on Thursday, releasing a statement denouncing the stream of racism that polluted Twitter after Joel Ward's game-winning overtime goal on Wednesday night.
"The Bruins are very disappointed by the racist comments that were made following the game last night. These classless, ignorant views are in no way a reflection of anyone associated with the Bruins organization."
