VIDEO: Flyers, Penguins Inexplicably Start A Hockey Game By Fighting

While it wasn't the caliber of last week's Pier 6 Brawl, the Penguins and Flyers were quick (about one shift, to be exact) to renew their torrid love affair during Saturday's meaningless regular season finale. The Flyers sent out Harry Zolnierczyk to go after Pittsburgh's Joe Vitale, who was responsible for several hard hits in last week's game (do these teams play anyone else?), including one that injured defenseman Nicklas Grossmann and the hit that began the game-ending Royal Rumble homage.

Naturally, Vitale was a target early, but he beat Zolnierczyk in convincing fashion:

Saturday's game can't affect the playoff seeding -- No. 4 seed Pittsburgh will host No. 5 seed Philly when the NHL Playoffs begin this week, so consider today's contest merely a few practice rounds before the big bout. These teams have potentially seven more games in the next two weeks to beat each other to death and/or advance to the second round.
