If you were told before the 2011-12 NHL season that the St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks would face each other as the No. 2 vs. No. 7 matchup in the Western Conference Quarterfinals, you certainly wouldn't have guessed that the Blues would have the home-ice edge.
But they are indeed the worthy favorites heading into the first round series, and in the season series against the Sharks, St. Louis won every single game. Here's a look at the series schedule.
