Coyotes Vs. Kings, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 1: LA Up 2-1

Los Angeles has had an overwhelming edge in puck possession and shots on goal through the first 40 minutes of Game 1, but Phoenix has responded with timely goals both times they trailed.

The score is now tied 2-2 at the end of the second period.

The Kings scored first in the second, with Mike Richards and Dwight King combining on a perfectly executed 2-on-1 fast break at the 8:02 mark in the second:

The Coyotes were once again able to recover though, as Mikkel Boedker scored with Shane Doan and Antoine Vermette getting the assist at the 18:05 mark in the period:

LA has dominated in shots on goal, getting 34 shots on Mike Smith to only 18 on Jonathan Quick, but now they'll enter the third period without anything to show for it.
