About five minutes into the first overtime period at Verizon Center between the Capitals and Rangers, Washington had a nice little buzz going. They were all over the New York end of the ice, generating scoring chances and DESTROYING the lives of opposing players.
But on that same shift, Troy Brouwer failed to end the game with what might just be the best chance anybody on his team will get in Game 3.
