New York Rangers center Brandon Dubinsky is set to return the ice for Game 5 of the 2012 NHL Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night. Dubinsky has been on the shelf since injuring his right ankle in Game 7 of the Rangers' first round series against the Ottawa Senators.
Dubinsky took part in the Rangers' optional skate Wednesday morning, suggesting he is healthy enough to play. Nothing has been officially confirmed by the team, however. There is no word yet just how much he will be able to do during the game.
John Mitchell is not expected to dress for the game. Stu Bickel will return to the lineup as a defenseman after starting at forward for Game 4.
Opening faceoff for Wednesday's game is set for 8:00 p.m. ET. The Devils tied the series at 2-2 with a 4-1 win Monday night.
