This might just seem silly, but ... well, it's the Cup and all that.
Hal Gill apparently played with a broken foot or perhaps even a broken leg in the Nashville Predators playoff series against the Phoenix Coyotes. That's according to Montreal Gazette columnist Dave Stubbs, who had lunch with Gill on Friday afternoon.
#Preds Gill had plate screwed into fractured tibia 2 weeks ago, on crutches when we met for lunch. Has cool x-ray pics in his iPhone #Habs

It's a little confusing on what exactly Gill suffered here. Stubbs says Gill had the plate inserted into the his tibia, which is a bone in the leg. He also says it's a broken foot, suffered after he took a shot to the Sheldon Souray shot to the foot on April 5.
Ex #Habs Hal Gill played #Preds series vs Yotes on a broken foot from April 5 Souray shot. And @CP0031: Hal doesn't drink wine coolers

Playing on a broken foot is no joke either, but it's certainly a different ball game than playing on a broken leg. Regardless, though, Hal Gill is kind of a bad ass.
