Brandon Prust Gets Away With Vicious Slash, Allowing Rangers To Pull Within 1

Maybe you'll say it evens out. Maybe the high-sticking penalty on Michael Del Zotto shouldn't have been called, so this awful slash from Brandon Prust shouldn't have been either. All's even.

But this one certainly looms large, because in the two minute span that the Devils would have spent on the power play courtesy of this slash from Prust on Travis Zajac, Ruslan Fedotenko has put the Rangers on the board. Suddenly, their season doesn't look so dead, as the scoreboard now reads 2-1, and had the officials caught this penalty against Prust, that goal may not have happened.
