Los Angeles and New Jersey will meet in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals Monday.
The Los Angeles Kings will hope the third time is the charm as they will try to claim the Stanley Cup in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday. The Kings won the first three games of the series but the Devils staved off elimination twice with wins in Game 4 and 5.
Los Angeles won 11 of their first 12 playoff games before losing two straight to New Jersey. The Kings' offense has faltered recently after being nearly unstoppable throughout the playoffs. Los Angeles averaged 3.1 goals per game over their first 12 playoff games but have scored just two goals over the last two games combined.
New Jersey got goals from Bryce Salvador and Zach Parise to win Game 5 2-1. After allowing eight goals during the first three games of the series, Martin Brodeur saved 46-of-48 shots in Game 4 and 5. If they are going to force a Game 7, New Jersey will have to win on the road in Game 6. The Devils are 7-5 on the road this postseason.
Monday's Game 6 will begin at 8 p.m. ET and be broadcast on NBC.
